Theseus is a short linear story game about a robot assembling himself from salvaged parts. The name Theseus comes from the famous thought experiment "Ship of Theseus".

Controls - WASD move, E/hold E to interact, shift sprint, space jump.

There are three endings.

When you replace every part of yourself, and the old parts assemble into their own self, who is the original?

Hey, I also participated in that publisher's Game Jam. If like us you are not entirely satisfied on how confusing things went about that jam I invite you to submit your game to the Salvage the Jam so we can have a safe place where we can all showcase, play, and feedback our games!

Go check it out :)

Thanks for submitting Theseus! This was a phenomenal entry and one of the standouts of the entire jam.

Your use of the theme was flawless. It wasn't just present in the game, it was woven into the core of the experience in a way that felt natural and meaningful. That's exactly what we hope to see from a jam entry, and you delivered it better than almost anyone.

The music was beautiful and did a lot to set the mood. Paired with the overall presentation, it made Theseus one of the most beautiful and appealing games in the jam. Everything about how it looks and sounds feels intentional and cohesive.

The gameplay was solid and fit the game well, even if it wasn't the strongest part of the package. With a little more depth and variety there, this could easily grow into a full project. The foundation is absolutely there.

You used everything the jam asked of you and then some, and it really shows. Because of that, we're proud to award Theseus fourth place! The full top 10 rankings will be out shortly. Congratulations, and thank you for being part of the jam!
